Controls and flight strategy

How to play Fly With Manole

Manole uses one-button controls. The challenge comes from timing each click, managing altitude, and choosing a safe path through wings and birds.

Controls

  1. Click once to start running. Manole begins his approach along the top of the bell tower.
  2. Click again to jump. Time the jump near the edge so the flight begins with useful forward momentum.
  3. Keep clicking to flap. Each well-timed click moves the wooden wings and helps Manole stay airborne.
  4. Guide the flight toward white wings. Collecting them helps sustain the attempt and gives you more distance.
  5. Avoid birds. Collisions interrupt the flight and can quickly end a promising score.

Tips for a longer flight

Use a steady rhythm

Rapid, panicked clicks are hard to control. Watch Manole’s rise and fall and use measured flaps to correct his path.

Do not climb too high

Extra altitude is not always safer. A moderate flight path gives you room to move around birds while keeping useful wings within reach.

Plan ahead

Look beyond the nearest obstacle. Choose a line that reaches the next white wing without leaving Manole trapped beneath or above an approaching bird.

Protect a good run

As the distance grows, favor safe corrections over risky last-second pickups. Consistency usually beats chasing every wing.

How scoring works

Your result is the distance Manole travels before the flight ends. When the original game submits a completed score, this restoration records it on the working leaderboard. The game page lets you compare flights from the last 30 days, the last year, or all time. The public high-score page shows the longest recorded flights in a format that can be shared directly.

Fullscreen and mobile play

Use the Full screen button above the game for the largest available play area. The original game keeps its 500-by-350 stage proportions and scales to fit the browser, so the controls and obstacle positions stay consistent. On a phone or tablet, landscape orientation generally gives the clearest view of the route ahead.

Ready to fly?
